As global concerns for climatic change issues grow, KEMCO established
the Center for Climate Change Mitigation Projects in 1999 in order
to enhance national efforts to address the rising level of greenhouse
gas emissions. Meanwhile, to promote the transfer of climate-friendly
technologies to Korea, technological cooperation frameworks have been
developed together with the United States government under the Technology
Cooperation Agreement Pilot projects(TCAPP, recently renamed as CTP).
From technical consultation to financial support, KEMCO is one of
few leading organizations in non-Annex¥° countries under the UNFCCC
that have systematic energy management programs for GHG reduction
